What We Do
The Yough (short for Youghiogheny) Paddling Club supports, promotes, and develops paddlers (kayaking, canoe, wild water) of all skill levels through the use and conservation of water resources in Garrett County and the Allegheny Highlands.
The paddling club offers:
- Rolling and fundamental canoe and kayak instruction for kids and new paddlers
- River trips for paddlers of all levels
- Weekly paddle nights
- $10 ASCI day pass; Pre-season pricing on season pass
- Access to kayaks and kayaking gear from ASCI with club check out procedures
- “Every-paddler” events—i.e. Friday Night Fun Series
- Conservation education and activities
We hope this website will be a virtual gathering place for all sorts of paddlers in the Allegheny Highlands. On this site you can:
- Post your ideas about river trips or use it to find new paddling partners -- on the river trips message board
- Post your comments, concerns or gear for sale -- on the general message board
- Become an active member of the club - click here
